Seven years have passed since we collaborated with you and together created our lovely home. It just doesn't seem that long ago. We're sure that, at some point, the excitement of our "new" home will wear off.

Although it has been seven years, we just wanted to let you know that we hadn't forgotten how much we enjoyed working with you, Barbara and Robert during the planning and construction of our home. Beginning with our fist consultation, it was clear that we were working with someone who was not your typical builder. The open, trusting relationship we developed with you was more like a partnership, and the result was a terrific, unique home that continues to be very special to us.

More importantly , we have enjoyed our relationship with you over the past seven years. Consistent with your approach to the planning and construction of a home, you continue to care about your homeowners and your homes long after the work is done. Like a parent, you remain interested in how your homes are doing and take a great deal of pride in knowing that your homeowners are extremely satisfied.

Larry, we wish you continued success and look forward to seeing many more "Larry Skelton Homes" springing up throughout the Bellaire area.

As we approach our one-year anniversary of living in our new home, we thought it was about time we wrote and thanked you for doing such a wonderful job building our house.

Building a house is meant to be a dream come true and a pleasurable experience. You made it just that. We know so many people who have built homes, and everyone seems to have a horror story. We have nothing but good things to say about the construction of our home, and we truly believe that it's all from having the right builder -- you.

Your knowledge of the business, your attention to details, your interest in trying to deliver what the homebuilder wants, your wonderful foreman, Robert, and your personal pride in your work, all combine to make the perfect builder. You made what is a very complicated process very simple and enjoyable for us. We truly appreciate all that you did -- from helping with the plans, to keeping us within our budget, to getting the job done on time. We had a wonderful Christmas in our beautiful home, even if we didn't know how to turn on the showers in the guest rooms.

We purchased our "Larry" home in November 1990 when we saw it during a Bellaire home show. We are thoroughly happy with it and Larry Skelton in every way.

After returning from two years overseas, the house met all our needs. It is large & roomy and in an excellent community. The house is thoughtfully designed, well constructed, and elegantly finished. Larry has been quick to remedy the few problems that have occurred, even well after the first year's warranty expired.

It was the second house that Larry constructed, and he was diligent in soliciting our comments on ways it could be improved. We've often looked at his homes during shows, and it is apparent he continues to exceed the high standard he set in ours. Larry has been charming and helpful with our settling into the neighborhood.

He has helped us in innumerable ways. For example, after we had already moved in I asked Larry who could put in some additional bookshelves in the attic room. He arranged a first class job at cost. Three years later he helped us choose a painter. Larry absorbed the cost for some minor trim repairs the painter identified.

I recommend both his homes and him without hesitation.
